After perusing the documented instances of poor leadership, a visitor to this website will inevitably wonder: "Why does anyone remain in that church? Why doesn't everyone leave?" The simple answer is fear: fear of the world outside, fear of ex-communication and being "taken out of the blood", fear of family separation, and fear of losing the only close-knit community they know. This website has thoroughly examined these fear-based tactics and their powerful influence over the congregation. However, another critical method through which Isaac Noriega exerts control is by distorting or disregarding scripture and creating spiritual fear. He knows that many members do not deeply study their Bibles, instead selectively referencing passages to support their beliefs. In this post, we aim to analyze a few such instances and explore how they are used to manipulate and disorient the congregation of Golden Dawn Tabernacle.
Astrology
Pastor Isaac exercises complete control over the marriages within Golden Dawn Tabernacle, where traditional courting is absent, often making these unions akin to permanent blind dates. During the engagement phase, where Isaac offers "counseling," he frequently references zodiac signs, attributing significant spiritual importance to them. He typically requests birthdates and attempts to match couples based on his theories of astrological compatibility. However, there are two major issues with this approach. Firstly, Biblical passages like Deuteronomy 18:10-12, Isaiah 47:13-14, and Leviticus 19:26, warn against or criticize divination and astrology, deeming them forbidden. Secondly, Isaac relies on unverified and mythological zodiac signs to gauge the suitability of marriages. Regrettably, observing the outcomes of recent marriages within this generation, it's evident that this method is not yielding positive results.
Weaponization of Serpent Seed Doctrine
Serpent seed doctrine is among the most contentious within the GDT and Message community, yet it remains a fundamental aspect of Isaac's beliefs. Originating from William Branham, this doctrine proposes that Eve engaged in a sexual relationship with the serpent in the Garden of Eden, followed by her husband Adam. This alleged dual union supposedly led to the birth of twins, Cain and Abel, thereby creating two distinct human bloodlines: one descending from the serpent (interpreted as Satan's literal seed) believed to be beyond salvation due to their lineage, and the other from Adam (viewed as the godly race), predestined for salvation. This interpretation is often seen as an extreme form of Calvinism.
While we won't delve into our personal opinions regarding this belief, it's clear that Golden Dawn Tabernacle leadership wields this doctrine as a tool for control. Anyone not conforming to Isaac Noriega's dictates is unofficially labeled as 'serpent seed,' deemed hopeless. Congregates who leave the church are attributed to this 'evil lineage,' essentially marking them as inherently irredeemable or "crossing the line". Isaac extends this teaching to justify rules against marriages outside the church, the complete absence of evangelism, and no fellowship with other churches. He asserts that the 'true seed' is incapable of sinning, a claim that becomes questionable in light of the numerous scandals within the church leadership. Such doctrines are easily weaponized, potentially devastating a member's faith and causing mental and spiritual harm.
Isaac's Obsession with the Supernatural
Isaac Noriega has adopted an exaggerated sense of self-importance over the years, positioning himself as a spiritually exalted leader (he calls himself the elder of the city). He attributes this elevated status to what he claims are supernatural occurrences in his life, suggesting that opposition to him is tantamount to being influenced by Satan. His book, "Time Tested Memorials - The Life Story of Two Pioneers," is replete with phrases like 'third pull,' 'supernatural,' 'commissioned,' and 'anointed,' subtly implying that he is a divine representative on Earth. This narrative is supported by selective interpretation of scriptures, with some witnesses informing us Isaac implies he is the angel mentioned in Rev 22:16.
This grandiose portrayal has particularly adverse effects on the third and fourth generations of the church's members. They are indoctrinated with the belief that almost all forms of enjoyment, such as sports, socializing, and music, are sinful, and even the mere desire for these activities could indicate that they are part of the 'serpent seed.' Given that Isaac, as the supposed representative of God, is perceived as infallible, members are trapped in a conundrum. They either strictly adhere to these rules, suppressing their natural interests and desires, or engage in these normal activities covertly, which they are taught to view as sinful. This predicament often leads them to a state of despair, thinking they are doomed regardless of their actions and giving up completely on religion, family or goals. Tragically, in doing so they become new subjects for Pastor Isaac to point to and use as examples.
Conclusion
Golden Dawn Tabernacle, which is supposed to offer the gospel of salvation, hope, and joy, instead fosters a climate of hopelessness and fear, using these struggling members as examples to reinforce Isaac's doctrinal teachings. This is why Golden Dawn Tabernacle and Isaac Noriega cause some of the congregants that do leave to never believe in or trust a religious leader ever again, or that will never be able to step inside a church again, due to the lifelong endured trauma they are permanently scarred with. We hope the congregation can see these tactics and realize it doesn't have to be this way.

After hearing them out for hrs over all the favoritism and petty rules that are all about Isaac keeping control. I asked them why are you there? With out hesitation and with all sincerity.. Wow, my respects to all those who would like to leave but stay for the love of their families. I couldn’t do it, at this point in my life I prefer to be alone. Maybe because I can tolerate loneliness, but seeing how people are humiliated and manipulated in the name of God I cannot tolerate, nor can I tolerate that I cannot exercise my right to have my own opinions and points of view. I lost a lot in my life because of doctrines, fears, and the ignorance that accompanies them. I am no longer afraid of losing because I have little to lose. I see how people endure incredible things for fear of losing. I preferred to lose them. They are all very personal and respectable choices since each family is unique and unrepeatable. I also am in contact with a couple families still “trapped” in GD as well. Trapped? Yes because they have family’s members who are deacons/elders (or married to them) and if they leave then that relationship is 100% over. They love the message and want to go another message church here in Tucson but Isaac will tear the family apart because he does not allow anybody to have a relationship with people outside of GDs prison walls. They told me without question that the family who stays will keep the kids from having contact because Isaac demands anyone who leaves to be cut off. And not that they cared but when you leave to have freedom in Christ Isaac tells everyone you are leaving to sin and puts curses on you. Maybe soon we can do a post on where Isaac gets this evil teaching from. One of the parents said on speaker while the kids could hear “I hate bro Isaac because he knows my mom/dad are too old and scared to leave and I won’t go without them”…. Whether you agree with the word “hate” or not pray for these people trapped inside because honestly I don’t even think this family would admit that they’re trapped.. In fact they insisted that they’re elite (paraphrasing) and Isaac is the true word for our day. So the level of control is similar to the battered wife syndrome. He beats because he loves. I resist because I’m evil/weak Isaac is the only one for me.. Because God put me here in GD. Bro Isaac is like this because he cares and loves me! This is battered wife syndrome it is a real issue. This elitism that Isaac preaches is the core of his evil agenda. It’s human nature to want to be elite in Gods eyes. It’s human nature to think that following rules gets you a reward. I often think of my family still trapped in GD. And it’s been the hardest to come to terms that I might never see them again. I’ve gotten used to living with that loss. I haven’t lost hope. I still believe God can make a way. But I know the typical GD response to this: “They left us. We didn’t leave them. If they want to see us again they have to come back.” “Oh well, they made their choice” “if they loved us they would of stayed with the word” These poor people are so brainwashed that they don’t even consider the pain and suffering that people that leave go thru. That’s why some of the young boys go back. They can’t handle the loneliness. And thanks to Isaac’s abuse, they are very weak minded and insecure. It’s very true that many families want to leave. Many young people want to leave. Many. But they know that they will never see their family again. Their whole family will be torn apart. But FREEDOM is worth it. It comes at a high price but it’s worth it. You start breathing and living. And let me tell you that many of us have made it out here. And have risen and built our families. So first..I don’t know who u are….which is important… But to answer your question…I really do know if I was Isaac’s right hand man.. There are a lot of factors and history that goes behind what I was to the assembly.. In a nutshell…I would have to that first I came short of my calling.. Second I realized that Isaac who I trusted since I was a teenager with my life and spent my life trying to help his ministry.. putting him over everything including my family only to one day realize that He was really didn’t have my well being in heart . I realized that he was taking advantage of me and knew it. I realized that over a conversation that we were having and he asked me a question.. I answered the question in a way that depending on his response I would know where he was coming from… He has a way of more or less talking people into what he wants as an outcome and then say it was your decision.. At that point I lost my confidence in him and to this day don’t believe anything that comes out of his mouth..even if it was true.. I will doubt his motives..
